KSF US Open Challenge Nov. 8th, 2014

Dear Martial Arts Friends, Competitors and Masters,

I, on behalf of Grand Master DeRu ( Shawn X. Liu) the Chairmen of the US Open International Martial Arts Championship Committee, Shaolin Chan Foundation, Shaolin World Federation, Mobile Sports Authority, and Shaolin Institute would like to cordially invite you as our (special) guest (as competitor) and your team to participate in the XXV US Open Martial Arts Challenge – which will be featuring K. Warrior Search fights.  The winners of the A Division of this main event will be qualified for a spot on the US Team in the US Open International Martial Arts Championship in June next year and will win credits to be on the US Fighting Team to fight in China and other fights overseas. All US Team Members will be partially funded by Shaolin World Federation traveling overseas.
Shaolin Chan Foundation and Shaolin Institute along with many other organizations and friends will host and sponsor this US Open Challenge in addition to many more US Open Challenges and K. It’s been 20 years since Mobile hosted the very first official US Open International Sanda/Sanshou fight in the US, which was held at the Mobile Convention Center where the first group of great fighters such as David Sanders and Cung Le were produced. Later the US Open facilitated hundreds more international fighters such Patrick Barry, Scott Sheeley, Michael Altman, James Cooper, Melvin Guillard, Li Jie, Rudi Ott, Wael Mohammed, Jason Yee, K.J. Noon and Albert Pope to name a few.

The event will be held at Mobile Civic Center 401 Civic Center Dr. Mobile, AL, 36602 on November 8th, 2014.   Call us for your hotel arrangements 251-662-3225 or go to our website: usaskf.org for other detailed information.  The following is a brief of the program list:
– All forms, internal or external, light contact and Tai Chi push-hands will be on Saturday during the day.
– K. Warrior Search will be held in the evening along with limited US Open Challenge Finalists performing their fights as the main event on Nov. 8th night (Sat. night 7:00 PM).
– Shaolin Legacy Kungfu Show segments will also be performed at half time.
The challenge will not only give every amateur Martial Artists and light contact competitors a good platform to test their courage, skills, and their confidence of their self-protection abilities but also good fighting experience and training opportunities to improve their skills. The event will indeed give all Kungfu, Tai Chi and other styles and choreographed team competitors a center stage to showcase their talents and skills in various levels.

The event is organized by KSF (Kung Fu Sanda Federation) and sponsored by Shaolin Institute, Mobile Sports Authority and many companies and individuals. KSF is part of SCF (Shaolin Chan Foundation) a registered 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization promoting martial arts events world-wide.
SCF is operated under Shaolin World Federation to promote and carry out the Chan (Zen) Arts Teachings & Chan Way of Living to include Chan philosophy, Chan meditation, Tai Gong for Healing, Chan Nutrition, Fine Arts, Music and internal and external Gong Fu (Kung Fu) to preserve the art and culture of the Shaolin Chan Gong Fu around the world.  Establish Shaolin Chan Philosophy and Culture and Gong Fu athletes’ networks world wide
